Hi Doctor,

I think it is better to take back to the hospital.
Please, a 7-week old baby jerking out of sleep as if he comes out of a nightmare?
He is no longer getting a good sleep. Is it natural or something of serious concern?
Thanks.
Evang Bayo.
Hmmm…it depends on if she jerks when she is not sleeping as well. I will recommend doing a video of these jerks and showing your doctor just to be sure it is not a convulsion. Most times it is not
PLS there is something like a tiny worm in his flesh that is spreading n inches my 3 yrs old son what can I use
You can see a doctor for such as it sounds like what we called Filiariasis and that requires treatment by qualified doctors.
There are Skin doctors (Dermatologists) and Paediatricians in most General and Teaching Hospitals. Kindly go to one for your baby to be properly evaluated and treated.
Good evening Dr,
I have a three year and eight months daughter she is not talking not even mummy
She has severe speech delay and should be seen by a Speech therapist and Developmental Paediatrician immediately for evaluation and management.
Good afternoon Doc, please i want to find out if my 2yrs and10 months old baby can still take Meningitis n Typoid fever vaccination? And how old before she outgrows it?
She can take the Meningitis vaccine. The typhoid vaccine is not necessary or recommended. It should last for life most times though booster doses can be given during an outbreak.
Good afternoon Dr please my baby of 2years 5months has been scratching his legs and anytime he scratch leg it will swell up water will be coming out and he have used Loratiden syrop, salvno antiseptic and hydrocortisone cream but the scratching didn’t stop . Should I be worried ? Or is there any other thing to do?
I think that sounds like papular urticaria. You should see a Dermatologist – skin specialist for further evaluation and management.
My baby girl is almost 3 months old. Since her birth, she has not been able to suck and swallow. Besides, she has runny nose, sneezes and coughs. She is currently in a private hospital where she is receiving medical treatment. But there seems to be no improvement. Does it take that long for a baby to activate sucking and swallowing ability? What can we use to treat the sneezing, coughing and runny nose?
There may be some medical condition that is responsible. The doctors managing the child are the ones who are in the best position to answer this question as to the underlying reason your baby has these difficulties. I hope a Paediatrician is seeing your child? You should feel free to ask them the reason. It is not normal. It is a sign of an underlying medical condition and that will determine the management plan. If you are not sure what the doctors are doing; you may want to seek a second opinion at a tertiary level hospital that usually have many specialists.
