Dr Gbemisola Boyede is a Consultant Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician and the Founder/CEO of Ask The Paediatricians Foundation. Dr Gbemisola started Ask The Paediatricians Foundation now a registered non-governmental organisation in Nigeria first as a Facebook Group in July 2015 out of her passion as a Paediatrician to reduce unnecessary and preventable deaths of children which are often due to ignorance in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa. She is also the Secretary to the Board of Trustees of the Foundation.
Dr Gbemisola Boyede was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria. She did her undergraduate training at the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos where she obtained her MBBS degree. She did her internship and residency training in General Paediatrics at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH). Her subspecialty fellowship training in Developmental Paediatrics was at the prestigious Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital, the largest quaternary children’s hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa. During the course of her undergraduate and postgraduate (residency) training, she was a recipient of multiple merit scholarship awards and academic prizes including the Provost Prize and College Prize for the Best Overall Student of the College of Medicine of the University of Lagos in 2007 academic year. She was also the best Senior Registrar of the Department of Paediatrics,LUTH in June 2010. Dr Gbemisola Boyede is a Fellow of the West African College of Physicians, Faculty of Paediatrics (FWACP (Paed)). She also has the Sub-specialty Fellowship in Developmental Paediatrics of the College of Paediatricians of the Colleges of Medicine of South Africa, FSDP (SA) and a Master of Philosophy (M.Phil.) degree in Developmental Paediatrics (with distinction in thesis) from the University of Cape Town, South Africa. Dr Boyede is actively involved in academic and clinical research and has published papers in local and international journals. She is a recipient of two international research grants. She has presented papers at local and regional scientific conferences.
Her research interests include cognitive functioning in chronic paediatric diseases, developmental assessments in resource-poor setting, autism spectrum disorders, neurodevelopment of HIV-infected children and cerebral palsy. She developed the BDAT course and regularly trains paediatricians, resident doctors and general practitioners in Basic Developmental Assessment.
Dr Gbemisola Boyede is a member of many professional bodies and associations including the International Child Neurology Association, African Child Neurology Association, Paediatric Association of Nigeria, Child Neurology Society of Nigeria, Paediatric Neurology and Developmental Association of Southern Africa, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) and British Association of Community Child Health (BACCHS) amongst others.
Dr Gbemisola Boyede volunteers her expertise as a Paediatrician in promoting child health intelligence for parents via her online Facebook group and website – Ask the Paediatricians and also conduct community medical outreaches to childen living in indigent communities via her Ask The Paediatricians Foundation. Dr Boyede also writes and speaks regularly on health care issues of children on National dailies, Radio and TV programmes. Dr Gbemisola and her work on the Ask The Paediatricians Foundation have been recognized by international corporate organization such as Facebook and featured in many local and international media like the BBC. Dr Gbemisola Boyede is a recipient of many local and international awards and fellowships.

Dr Rotimi Adesanya
Dr. Rotimi Ayoola Adesanya is a member of Board of Trustees of Ask The Paediatricians Foundation and a founding member. He is also the National Outreaches Coordinator and member of the Core National Administrative team charged with day to day running of the affairs of the Foundation. He is the founder and Chief Admin of the Ask The Physicians (ATP Family) Facebook group, an offshoot of the Ask The Paediatricians Facebook group. Dr Rotimi is a Consultant Family physician and Medical Director at Federal College of Education (Technical) Medical Centre, Lagos, Nigeria. He has received international training in Hepatitis and had a Facebook group devoted to educating the public about Hepatitis. He is also a certified Family Planning Provider by USAID. He is the Mission Director of the Better Life Medical Mission Lagos Nigeria. Dr Rotimi Adesanya is a featured columnist with Punch newspaper, Healthy Eating and Afribaby Magazine. He is a regular guest speaker on Health topics on The Lagos Traffic Radio and Babyhood Radio show. He is a recipient of multiple recognition awards.
Dr Olajumoke Ogunro
Dr Olajumoke Ogunro is a Consultant Obstetricians and Gynaeacologist and member, Board of Trustees of Ask The Paediatricians Foundation. She also chairs the Ask The Paediatricians Fundraising Committee. A humanitarian and seasoned gynaecologist, Dr Olajumoke Akindele Ogunro has a bias for improving healthcare for and among women in particular through the continuous enlightenment of her gender through various channels. Dr Olajumoke Boyede has her MBBS from the College of Medicine of University of Lagos. She completed her residency programme in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital in record time. Her drive to keep her gender thoroughly enlightened continued to be a propelling force in her career as she has facilitated in television programmes as well as live seminars to help create the necessary awareness and disseminate relevant information to her preferred audience. She is currently working as a gynaecologist/fertility specialist at The Alpha Assisted Reproductive Klinic. She has attended several seminars and courses in Obstetrics and Gynaecology both locally and internationally.
Mrs Esther Stephen
Mrs Esther Stephen is a trained accountant who has followed her passion to become a trained family counsellor. She is a member of board of trustees of Ask The Paediatricians Foundation. Mrs Esther Stephen is a mind and body therapist whose aim is to help clients evaluate their lives, discover areas requiring improvement and develop their levels of happiness and life satisfaction. She provides individual, couple and family therapy to children, adolescents and adults. Her specialized areas are relationship and marital issues, depression, anxiety, stress, self-esteem, trauma, bereavement and marriage coach. She also engages in public speaking for preteen, teenagers and adults on managing anxiety, controlling and managing depression, emotional Intelligence, resilient thoughts, self-compassion, panic relief and impulse control.
Dr Olanrewaju Boyede
Dr Olanrewaju Boyede is an Occupational and Public Health Physician. He is the Chairman, Board of Trustees of Ask The Paediatricians Foundation. He has his MBBS and Masters in Public Health from the prestigious University of Lagos. He also has the NEBOSH International Diploma in Occupational Health and safety. He is also a member of the Institute Of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH,UK). Dr Olanrewaju Boyede has experience working with Oil and Gas industry as a medic and health and safety. He is also a certified instructor in American Heart Association First Aid, CPR, BLS and ACLS courses. Beyond the medical profession, Dr Boyede is committed to imparting youths and supporting parents with sexuality education training in and has produced training educational CDs on the subject
Dr Ifeoluwa Adeoti
Dr Ifeoluwa Adeoti is the Nigerian Programme Coordinator for Ask The Paediatricians Foundation.
Dr Adeoti is medical doctor with keen interest in child health. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Physiology from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, and M.D from Donetsk National Medical University, Ukraine. She also has a Masters degree in Paediatrics and Child Health from University College London.
Dr. Ifeoluwa’s dedication and contribution to improving child health and development, especially orphans and vulnerable children, is exemplified through her planning, designing, monitoring and coordinating coordination and leadership in medical outreaches to children in nearly 100 orphanage homes and numerous rural communities in Nigeria
