MEET OUR PANNELIST – Dr Nnennaya Kalu-Umeh
Dr. Nnennaya Kalu-Umeh is the Technical Assistant to the Director General/CEO of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Nigeria.
She is also the Programme Manager of the NHIA Leadership Development Programme (NLDP) and a Deputy Director.
She holds a first degree in Medicine and Surgery as well as Masters degrees in Public Health and Business Administration.
She was at various times the NHIA focal person for the Presidential Summit on Universal Health Coverage, the Basic Health Care Provision Fund and the Sustainable Development Goals.
She is an alumnus of the World Bank Flagship Course on Sustainable Healthcare Financing for Universal Health Coverage and has several certifications in Health Systems Strengthening, Project Management and Leadership.
She is passionate about improving access to healthcare, the welfare of women and children as well as mentoring the next generation of leaders.
She is married with children and her hobbies include creative art and reading.
